And welcome to our first blog post, in which I’d like to share how you, our customers, are the foundation of what we’ve done.
Several months ago, we decided it was time for a website update to reflect the growth we’ve experienced since I joined the company. But it wasn’t until we gathered the team for a half-day deep dive into our business that I realized exactly how different we are from our competitors.
What came out of that meeting was a new company structure — and a new website — based on our customers’ needs, rather than our own, and how we prioritize the individual needs of each and every customer we serve.
Our customers are manufacturers who even in the best of times face many challenges. Today they face an increasing array of environmental regulations as well as increasing competition. As a 100% recycled polymer supplier with almost 60 years of innovation experience, we’ve been helping them meet these challenges, one by one.
The key is we don’t sell generic polymer. We offer customized solutions, with consulting at no charge even when we don’t make a sale. As our customers’ needs have evolved and become more complex, we’ve realized how important our consultative selling, customization and extensive testing are to their success.
So, what can you expect from our new website designed specifically with you in mind?
For starters, we have two equally important groups of customers. Thanks to our long history in roofing, we decided to address modified bitumen roofing manufacturers first. With so many variables in any Modbit membrane, this section is technically detailed, with an emphasis on testing and customization. We also added a separate FAQs section to address technical questions often posed to our sales technicians.
Our equally important other customers, though more diverse, are alike in their ability to manufacture almost anything you can think of out of recycled plastic and rubber. For these innovative and daring operators, we created the non-roofing section of our site, visually highlighting the world of possibilities in which they operate.
You’ll also find a section about our lab, where we have testing equipment many of our competitors don’t have. This is the heart of our business, where we test and formulate, test and reformulate, until we solve customers’ problems. But we don’t confine testing to within our own four walls. If you’re testing a sample in your own lab, you might find one of our sales technicians by your side.
Most importantly, we know we’re all united in our commitment to creating a cleaner, safer environment not just for today but for generations to come. So, throughout our site, you’ll find an emphasis on safety and sustainability. We proudly display our ISO 9001:2015 certification everywhere and on almost every page invite you to discuss your company’s recycling program at no charge to you.
If you add all of this up, it’s what we do to support our promise to you — that we won’t sell you anything unless it’s good for your business and the planet.
